Amplifiers and Mixers
I thought about getting really technical on these equipment pages but decided against it. Why bore people to death with "THD" (total harmonic distortion), Signal to noise ratio, RMS and so on and so on...
These stats are available upon request.
I decided that I would try to explain, in laymans terms, what each piece of equipment does.

First off is the "Mixer"
This takes in all of the audio sources and...well mixes them together.
A mixer is a way to "channel" all of the sounds from different audio sources into a "Stream" of songs, voice announcements and banter into a steady flow of sound. That means there is no "dead air" (a pause in the entertainment). I use two of these. One is functional, the other is backup.

The "Amplifier"
This takes the sounds from the mixer and...did you guess correctly?
A M P L I F I E S
them.
OK, the standard car radio (from the factory) amplifies the sound it receives anywhere fro 4.5 watts to 25 watts per channel (Left and right, front to rear) unless you have a "Tripped Out" Boomin' system.

My main amplifier puts out a cool 1800 watts peak, about 500 watts rms (at 8ohms) per channel.
You will have crisp highs, low bass and a sound that is just perfect for any event. Outdoor or indoor.
My "back-up" amp puts out 1000 watts. I can use both if need be. (That can be very very loud).
Below are the Back-up Amp and Back-up mixer.
Let's go to the next page to see the Computer, Dual CD Player, Wireless Microphones
and...The Booth!
